530 Age-dependent sequential increase of senescent cells in the skin

Senescent cells contribute to the functional decline of skin via senescence-associated secretory phenotypes. The accumulation senescent plays a role in development photoaging pigmentation and aging. We investigated age-dependent cellular senescence vivo skin. Seventy biopsied skins taken from 1 81 years old subjects were obtained. samples grouped age 0-20, 21-40, 41-60 61-81 further classified into ‘exposed’ ‘unexposed’ group. p16INK4A, most reliable marker was assayed with immunohistochemical study. number p16INK4A positive fibroblasts, melanocytes, keratinocytes significantly increased age. Fibroblasts major observed all groups. Whereas, melanocytes appeared after middle-age.
